I paint in oil and enjoy subject matter ranging from the wild to the
built, including landscapes, cityscapes, people and cars.

I began painting with oil in 2006, after devoting years to a musical
career. Since childhood, I’ve enjoyed sketching in pencil, ink and
watercolor, but a more substantial path emerged from this new medium, and in 2009, I began painting in earnest.

I was born in 1976, and am native to Marin County, California. I’ve
had minimal formal art training, but have always counted artists,
teachers and collectors among my family and friends.

I earned a history degree from the University of Virginia and have
been influenced by years in France, Alaska, New York and Arizona.
